Przemyslaw Frankowski (29) has left RC Lens to join Galatasaray. Foot Mercato understands that the deal is worth up to €10m.

The French transfer window has been closed for overe a week, however, the window in Turkey closes on Tuesday. Galatasaray have been in the market for a right-back and have seen approaches for Olympique Lyonnais duo Ainsley-Maitland Niles and Clinton Mata rejected.

Lens were also originally reticent to sell Frankowski, however, after the full-back refused to train or play, it opened the door to a move to Galatasaray. That deal has now been confirmed after the Poland international travelled to undergo his medical on Monday.

Frankowski’s move to the Turkish giants is a loan with an obligation to buy at the end of the season. The fee for the loan is €1m, whilst Galatasaray will have to pay a further €7m at the end of the season. Les Sang et Or will also pocket a further €2m in easily attainable bonuses.
