Official – Porto Coach Sergio Conceiçao Names 25-Man Squad For Inter Milan Champions League Clash | OneFootball

Porto head coach Sergio Conceicao has called up a 25-man squad for tomorrow evening’s Champions League round of sixteen first leg against Inter.

This is confirmed by Porto’s official site, which lists all of the players called up for the Portuguese team for the match at San Siro, including the likes of injury doubts Evanilson, Otavio, Mateus Uribe, and Galeno.

Reports have suggested that the likes of forward Evanilson, midfielder Otavio, and winger Galeno would be among the players whose availability would be in serious doubt for tomorrow’s match due to injury.

However, all three are part of the 25-man squad for the match, as is defender Fabio Cardoso, another player who has been considered an injury doubt as well.

The only player who has missed out on Porto’s squad through injury is winger Gabriel Veron.

The fact that Evanilson, Otavio, Uribe, and Galeno are in the squad does not mean that the trio are expected to play either from the start or from the bench.

The expectation is that Evanilson, Uribe, and Otavio will not be fit to play, whilst it is rumoured that Galeno could be ready to play a role.

However, Porto coach Conceicao has decided to call up all his squad for the match in order to have the entire group together for the important match, as the coach prefers to have important players in the dressing room even if they are not fit to play.

Players such as Otavio and Uribe are considered to be important players behind the scenes in terms of the team mentality.
