PSG centre-back Milan Škriniar (30) has joined Turkish Süper Lig giants Fenerbahçe, both clubs have announced. The Slovakian international centre-back is back in Istanbul after spending the second half of the previous campaign on loan with José Mourinho’s team. When he returned to the French capital following his loan spell at Fenerbahçe, Škriniar was sent to train with PSG’s youth team, as a way to show him he does not have a future with the Champions League winners.
Škriniar signed for PSG two years ago as a free agent upon the expiry of his Inter Milan contract. However, PSG head coach Luis Enrique reportedly never greenlit his signing, which was approved before the Spaniard’s arrival in the Parc des Princes’ dugout. The Slovakian centre-back featured 37 times for Les Parisiens. According to L’Equipe, Fenerbahçe and PSG reached an agreement over a €10m transfer fee.
