Joaquin Correa has officially joined Brazilian outfit Botafogo after a four-year association with Inter, and has joined his new side in time to feature in the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup, which kicks off this weekend.
The 30-year-old has left Inter on a free transfer at the expiry of his contract, and has put pen to paper on a two-and-a-half year deal with Botafogo, which will run until the end of December 2027.
He will wear the no.30 shirt for his first season in Brazil.
Correa leaves Inter after four seasons, having arrived on loan with an obligation to buy from Lazio in the summer of 2021.
The obligation to buy clause was paid the following summer, totalling a reported fee of around €32m. He would go on to score 12 goals from 98 appearances across all competitions.

Botafogo have confirmed that Correa will fly out directly to the United States to join up with his new teammates as they prepare for their Club World Cup campaign.
Botafogo are placed in Group B at the Club World Cup, considered one of the tougher groups in the tournament with Champions League winners Paris Saint-Germain, Atletico Madrid and the Seattle Sounders.
Botafogo and Correa are on the other side of the draw to Inter, who will compete in Group E with Monterrey, River Plate and Urawa Red Diamonds.
