Official: Barcelona starting lineup to face Alaves | OneFootball

FC Barcelona will have an opportunity to bridge the gap at the top of the table as they take on Deportivo Alaves this afternoon.

Heading into this game, coach Hansi Flick has announced his final starting eleven that will take on Alaves at the Montjuic.

Flick has not made too many changes from the team that secured a draw with Atalanta in midweek, with Wojciech Szczesny notably continuing in goal, ahead of Inaki Pena.

There has been one change in defence, though, with Pau Cubarsi returning to the team to replace Eric Garcia at centre-back. He will be accompanied by Ronald Araujo in central defence.

Jules Kounde and Alejandro Balde continue in the fullback positions, as usual.

In midfield, Frenkie de Jong returns to the bench, paving the way for Marc Casado to once again occupy the number six position.

Moving forward, Flick has opted for an unchanged attacking setup, with the creative trifecta of Raphinha, Lamine Yamal and Gavi set to offer support to Robert Lewandowski.

On the bench, Inigo Martinez is available at the disposal of Flick, while the in-form Fermin Lopez can also be a lethal option upfront.
