La Liga giants Barcelona have been named amongst the candidates for the prestigious ‘Club of the Year’ award.
This of course comes fresh off a stellar campaign for the Blaugrana in 2024/25.
Following the arrival of Hansi Flick in the club’s dugout, Barcelona blew away the competition in Spain this past season.
All told, the Catalans secured glory in all three domestic competitions, triumphing in each of La Liga, the Copa del Rey, and Spanish Super Cup.
On top of that, they came within a whisker of a Champions League final berth, only to miss out to Serie A heavyweights Inter Milan in heartbreaking fashion.
And as alluded to above, on Thursday, such endeavours have been aptly recognised.
As part of the annual Ballon d’Or ceremony, France Football now hand out a prize for the official ‘Club of the Year’ across world football.
And Barcelona have been included on this year’s shortlist, alongside Liverpool, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain, and Botafogo.
