Pep Guardiola's side are chasing an unprecedented fourth-straight league title and they remain the favourites to retain their crown. City were in a ruthless mood on Thursday as they put four past a hapless Brighton, matching Arsenal's demolition of Chelsea two days prior.
With Liverpool beginning to falter, it seems as if City will once again duel the Gunners for the title and Guardiola will be hoping that Tottenham do his side a favour in the north London derby before they kick-off at the City Ground.
The Cityzens came unstuck away at Forest last season, and the home side's desperation could render their upcoming bout a potential banana skin. Nuno Espirito Santo's men are just a point above the drop zone after their controversial defeat at Everton last weekend, but their schedule does lighten up after City's visit.

The hosts could once again be without striker Taiwo Awoniyi and centre-back Willy Boly, with the two players each carrying muscle injuries.
Forest otherwise have a clean bill of health, but Anthony Elanga, formerly of Manchester United, and industrious midfielder Ryan Yates could come into the XI.
Nottingham Forest predicted lineup vs Man City (4-2-3-1): Sels; Williams, Niakhate, Murillo, Aina; Danilo, Yates; Elanga, Gibbs-White, Hudson-Odoi; Wood.

Erling Haaland missed his second game on the spin in midweek and it remains to be seen whether he'll return at the City Ground on Sunday. City functioned pretty well without him on the South Coast.
The visitors otherwise have few injury issues and could welcome John Stones and Ruben Dias back into the side after they sat out the win over Brighton. Jack Grealish may also earn a recall, allowing Phil Foden to drop out of the side to rest for bigger games ahead.
You'd like to think Forest will put up more of a fight against the champions compared to Brighton in midweek, with Nuno more than happy to defend his box and spring on the counter.
