Manchester United might struggle to land Viktor Gyokeres amidst the strong competition for his services, so they could resort to his Sporting CP teammate.
The 26-year-old rose to prominence under the guidance of current Man Utd boss Ruben Amorim, gaining a reputation for being one of the most devastating bombers in the Old Continent. This season, he has thus far scored a whopping 32 goals from 30 appearances.
Following Amorim’s mid-season jump from Lisbon to Manchester, multiple sources have been tipping the Swedish striker to follow suit, especially with the Red Devils in dire need of a top-notch marksman. However, snapping up the signature of the free-scoring star remains easier said than done, especially with a host of top European clubs vying for his services, thus raising his price tag to circa £80 million.
So according to Fichajes.net, Man Utd could decide to pursue a more affordable Amorim pupil in the shape of Conrad Harder.

The 19-year-old Dane developped his skills at Nordsjaelland before signing for Sporting last summer on a deal worth €19 million. The teenager primarily plays as a centre-forward, but can also feature on the wings. His versatility is allowing him to coexist with Gyokeres in the same lineup.
The Denmark U21 starlet has made 30 appearances for the Portuguese giants across all competitions, scoring nine goals and providing six assists in the process. These impressive figures have caught the eye of United who reportedly consider him worthy of an opportunity due to his young age and great promise.
The source believes Sporting would request a transfer fee of €35 million to break ties with their prized asset whom they have under contract until 2029. It should also be noted that the youngster has a release clause worth €80 million.
