FLW's Norwich City fan pundit has responded to the club's interest in Anass Zaroury.

Norwich City are among the clubs interested in a potential move for Anass Zaroury this summer.
According to L’Equipe, the Canaries are one of two Championship sides monitoring the ex-Burnley player, along with Coventry City.
Zaroury is currently plying his trade with Lens in France, having joined the club last year from the Clarets.
The 24-year-old previously helped Burnley earn automatic promotion from the Premier League under Vincent Kompany in 2023, and also spent time on loan with Hull City during the 2023/24 campaign.
When asked about Zaroury being a potentially exciting signing, FLW’s Norwich fan pundit, Zeke Downes, claimed he’d welcome the Morocco international to Carrow Road.
He believes it would be a smart signing by the club, and would like to see them get a deal over the line.
“I really like Zaroury,” Downes told Football League World.
“When he played against us for Burnley, he was excellent and looked a level above in the Championship, and was the one player I was worried about playing against.
“So I think this will be a really good and smart signing, if it happens, because he’s already won promotion to the Premier League before, and is an exciting winger.
“So I think if that move can happen, then we’re in for an exciting season, because he has that winning experience now and he’s got what it takes to play in a side that’s wanting promotion.
“He’s really good at beating his full-back, which he did with Max Aarons a few times, so I would be really excited about this, if we manage to get this over the line.”
Norwich will begin their Championship campaign with a clash against Millwall on 9 August.
Zaroury had a strong season with Burnley when he helped them storm to the Championship title under Vincent Kompany in 2022/23, contributing seven goals and five assists from 34 appearances.
However, Norwich need someone that can replace Borja Sainz after his exit to Porto earlier this summer.
Zaroury is still only 24, and has the potential to hit the same heights the Spaniard hit at Carrow Road given what he's previously shown in the Championship, and having had a respectable campaign in Ligue 1 with Lens this past season.
However, it would be a risky signing, and any deal worth doing with Lens could well depend on the size of their asking price.
Zaroury only moved to France last summer from Burnley, however, and is contracted at the Stade Bollaert-Delelis until the summer of 2028, meaning he may not come cheap should the Canaries firm up their transfer interest in him.
