Inter Milan concluded their Serie A season with a 2-0 win over Como, but it was not enough to clinch the title.

The Nerazzurri needed Napoli to drop points against Cagliari on the final day, but their rivals secured a 2-0 victory to seal the Scudetto.

“There’s no room for disappointment,” he said after the match. “From tonight, we begin living this dream.”

With a Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain on the horizon, Farris stressed that the squad must now turn its attention to Munich.

“We know what this week means,” he added. “We’ve already been through this kind of preparation. The team has great leaders, both technically and emotionally, who will guide us.”

Inter fielded a rotated side for the trip to Como, with head coach Simone Inzaghi absent due to a touchline ban.

Even so, they produced a professional performance. Stefan de Vrij opened the scoring with a powerful header in the 21st minute before Joaquin Correa sealed the win early in the second half.

De Vrij, who captained the side, was named man of the match and echoed Farris’s sentiments.

“We did our part. We were relying on results elsewhere and we couldn’t have done more tonight,” he said.

“There’s definitely a sense we could have done more in the league overall. But right now, all our focus is on the Champions League.”

Inzaghi opted not to risk several key players recovering from injury. Lautaro Martinez was left out entirely, while Benjamin Pavard and Yann Bisseck were monitored for fitness issues.

“We planned our rotations and stuck to them,” said Farris. “Lautaro was never expected to play unless something extraordinary happened.”

“Benjamin is recovering from a bad sprain but is improving. Bisseck felt something in his knee, but there’s no major concern.”

Inter finished the domestic season with 84 points, one behind Napoli, after dropping costly points in matches against Bologna, Roma and Milan.

But with a European final just days away, Farris insisted the team must leave those regrets behind.

“This is not the time to look back,” he said. “It’s time to go and finish the job.”
