Here’s a thought, the agent sat down with the main people at St James’ Park back in 2022 and hammered out a six year deal for Alexander Isak and a decent wage.

No doubt it took time, but it got sorted, everyone at the time were happy bunnies.

Time rolls on and with three years left on his contract, Alexander Isak seemingly now wants to go.

What have the club done whilst he’s been here?

Paid him, played him when fit, kept him out when injured, Isak’s agent happy as he’s picked up a pretty penny no doubt. Now if Newcastle United wanted Alexander Isak out, we’d have had to pay his contract in full.

So in this time of financial fair play, if Alexander Isak was to leave now, then surely the agent should have to refund 50% of his fee, as after all, his client has only completed half the agreement of the original six year contract.

With Alexander Isak, my opinion is don’t let him go until we as a club get what we want.

If he doesn’t get away and brings out a petulant lip, then fortunately we are a club that has money. Let him train with the kids, watch as after a year he becomes not match fit and with a World Cup coming up, not really ready for it. Childish? Well he started it!

Alexander Isak, as many players do, has flaws.

He has regularly picking up soft tissue injuries, which is ironic, because  if he does not get his way, then probably more soft tissues…but for the eyes this time.

I don’t think he likes a physical battle, it’s not his strength, he’s never going to win a 60/40 tackle, never mind a 50/50, you can say that’s not his game but pace is and with a continuous soft tissue issue, he needs to resolve that.

Surprisingly, I think he’s created many chances for himself but failed many times to finish, I genuinely think that if he has time to think in front of goal he struggles, more of a reaction type of striker.

I have no doubt that even with those flaws he will score goals in the future, as he has done already, but you don’t get the work ethic that others offer.

In conclusion, get the £150m off Liverpool, but lets see if we can get Harvey Elliott off them.

No club is smaller than any player.

Alexander Isak can go, but in life, they say you reap what you sow.

Let’s give him a very warm reception on his return, though no doubt Alexander Isak will have a “slight soft tissue injury” for the game here at St James’ Park, but available for the return.
