Ademola Lookman is willing to lower his wage demands to join Inter Milan, while Atalanta are targeting Federico Chiesa as a replacement.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Corriere della Sera, via FCInterNews.
Inter Milan have marked Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman as their primary target in attack.
The Nigerian international won’t come cheap. Atalanta are demanding €50 million, and have rejected Inter’s opening bid of €40 million.
However, Inter are ready to improve their offer. They will look to further test Atalanta’s resolve, and make inroads on a deal quickly.

And Lookman himself may have handed Inter a crucial boost.
The 27-year-old has already agreed terms with the Nerazzurri. He’s ready to sign a five-year contract worth around €4.5 million net per season.
However, the Corriere della Sera reports, Lookman has indicated that he would be willing to sign a deal on lower wages if it facilitates a move. This could allow Inter to offer Atalanta a bit more.
Meanwhile, the Corriere della Sera report, Atalanta have a target in mind to replace Lookman.
The newspaper anticipate that the Bergamo club are ready to go after out-of-favour Liverpool forward Federico Chiesa.
