Thanks to his stunning performances for Spain, Nico Williams has perhaps been the breakout star of Euro 2024 so far.

The Athletic Club wide forward has been utterly electric on the left flank, scoring goals in crucial games and giving full-backs nightmares with his pace and trickery too.

As with any 'breakout star' at any tournament, Williams has expectedly been linked with a number of top clubs off the back of his performance.

So, where should he go this summer?

We at 90min have taken a look:

5. Real Madrid

Every player wants to play for Real Madrid. That's just a fact. Whether or not they can, is an entirely different thing altogether though. That's not to say Williams isn't good enough to play for Madrid - he definitely is. However, being a left winger and joining a Los Blancos team who have Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Junior on the books probably wouldn't be the greatest idea. He simply won't get any gametime. 4. Chelsea

Chelsea have been linked with a move for Nico Williams for quite a long time. Considering PSR issues, it would probably take a minor financial miracle for the Blues to be able to afford to sanction a legal move for the player. He'd be some signing though. Fit: 3/10

3. Liverpool

Ever since Sadio Mane upped sticks and move to the Saudi Pro League, Liverpool haven't really had a nailed down the left forward position.Luis Diaz has impressed at times out there, as has Darwin Nunez, however neither really showed any consistent form last season. If new manager Arne Slot doesn't trust his current options to provide consistent output during his first campaign in charge at Anfield, then turning to Nico Williams would make a lot of sense. As we've seen at Euro 2024, Williams' delivery from the left flank is as consistent as it comes. Fit: 6/10

2. Arsenal

Would it be pretty harsh to replace Gabriel Martinelli on the left of Arsenal's attack? Probably, but if the Gunners are going to end their two decade wait for a Premier League title, then it's the sort of move that they need to make. While Martinelli is a talent, there's no doubt that Williams would take the current Arsenal attacking lineup to the next level. Fit: 8/10

1. Barcelona

Dream move? / Juan Manuel Serrano Arce/GettyImages

Spain's success this summer at Euro 2024 has been largely down to the sheer brilliance of their wide options in Williams and Lamine Yamal, so it makes a lot of sense that Barcelona are trying to get both in their team for the start of the 2024/25 season. The big question around any Barca transfer rumour is always 'can they afford to sign him?' And while the €58m release may be tricky financially, if they're going to have a hope of competing with Real Madrid in La Liga any time soon, Barca need to pull some levers and make this deal happen.Fit: 9/10
