OGC Nice are considering a move for Nantes striker Mostafa Mohamed (27), as the club look to reshape their attacking options ahead of the 2025/26 season, according to a report by L’Équipe.
With Gaëtan Laborde joining Saudi second-tier side Al-Diraiyah and Evann Guessand also likely to leave, the Riviera side are in the market for support to lead striker Terem Moffi. As part of their wide-ranging search, Mohamed has emerged as a potential Ligue 1-based solution.
The Egyptian international has spent the last three seasons at Nantes and remains under contract until 2027. He is, however, available on the market this summer, and clubs have begun to circle. At this stage, Nice have yet to make a formal offer, but the player is firmly on their shortlist.
Mohamed scored 9 goals in Ligue 1 last season and remains a physically imposing forward with European and international experience—qualities that could appeal to Franck Haise as Nice head in to Champions League qualifying next month with a tough double-header to come against Benfica.
