As international football resumes in September, Brazil will play their last World Cup qualifying fixtures, once again without their most recognizable player.
Santos forward Neymar is set to miss the matches due to a thigh injury, as reported by geglobo. Although manager Carlo Ancelotti has yet to officially announce the squad, it is widely expected that Neymar will not be included.
This marks the second consecutive qualifying window the attacker has missed, having also been sidelined for the previous round through injury.
Before his injury, Brazilian Neymar Jr. had already had a bad week after suffering a 6-0 defeat to Vasco and leaving the pitch in tears.
The length of time the Brazilian star will be out of action before returning to action has not yet been announced, but it has been confirmed that he will miss the international break in September.
