Nexen's walking football surprise visit | OneFootball

A lucky member of CITC walking football team recently got a once in a lifetime surprise when Jack Grealish, Stefan Ortega Moreno and Josko Gvardiol dropped in to one of his weekly football sessions.

Courtesy of Nexen Tire, Trefor Phillips and his wife will be flying out to New York later this month, to see Manchester City take on AC Milan at the iconic Yankee Stadium.

Having been a City fan his entire life, Trefor attends almost all of City’s home games, but this trip will mark his first time supporting City overseas.

Sitting under the Healthy People Pillar of CITC, Walking Football aims to uplift physical and mental health of its participants, with Trefor having now been part of the Walking Football team for almost 10 years.

Following the surprise, Trefor got to showcase his walking football skills, teaching our City players some of the basics of the game.

He then stepped up to take shots against Ortega Moreno.

Commenting on his special surprise Trefor noted, “I think I went into a dream. I looked behind me, three guys there, I had to look again. Then I realised, fantastic, absolutely fantastic!”

Once again, Nexen Tire have been able to provide an incredible experience for City fans, one year on from flying two other City fans into Manchester to watch their first game at the Etihad.
