The Magpies provided the latest ticket update via a post on their official club X account this morning.
With almost a month to go until matchday, fans have already snapped up more than 20,000 tickets with many more expected to be sold in the coming weeks.
The game will see Newcastle United play host to neighbours Sunderland for the first time in the Barclays Women’s Championship. The two sides contested the reverse fixture at The Stadium of Light back in mid-October with Newcastle United running out 2-1 winners. A Beth Lumsden double gave The Magpies a comfortable two-goal lead before defender Olivia Watt put through her own net late in the second half to hand Sunderland a consolation. The game was played out in-front of a Barclays Women’s Championship all-time record crowd of 15,387, an impressive attendance which is now sure to be smashed on Tyneside when the two sides meet again next month.
Newcastle United’s Barclays Women’s Championship fixture against Sunderland takes place at St. James’ Park on Sunday 23 March 2025. The game is scheduled to kick-off at 2pm. Tickets remain on-sale and can be purchased by clicking here.
