Newcastle United ‘have now received an offer’ for one of their attacking players, but there is a ‘stumbling block’ which could get in the way of a deal being done.
Eddie Howe is keen to do business in the January transfer window and the Magpies very publicly failed to sign the centre-back and winger they were chasing towards the end of the summer window.
Arrivals in January could well be tied to outgoings and the Magpies are prepared to listen to offers for a number of players.
Attacker Miguel Almiron is one player who could go and, according to the Daily Mail, Newcastle ‘have now received an offer’ from a club in the Brazilian top flight for him.
However, the winger’s salary and the expectations of his agent are a ‘stumbling block’ to the deal being pushed over the line.
Almiron also has interest from other sides, with Greek giants Olympiacos mooted as a possible option.
Other Brazilian sides, Santos and Botafogo, are keen, while Charlotte FC would be interested in taking him back to the MLS.
It is at this point unclear which Brazilian side have gone in to Newcastle with an offer for the winger.
