After failing to secure most of their transfer targets this summer, Newcastle United have reportedly turned their attention to Real Madrid’s versatile attacker Brahim Diaz.
According to an update from Fichajes, the Premier League side is seriously considering a move worth up to €50 million for the Moroccan international.
As such, Newcastle’s growing interest in Brahim is closely tied to the possible sale of Alexander Isak.
It is to be noted that Liverpool are already in talks with the Swedish forward, and should the transfer materialise, the funds from his departure would be used to fuel a major offer for the Real Madrid playmaker.
Last season, despite limited minutes, Brahim impressed whenever given the opportunity. His ability to deliver on big occasions has not gone unnoticed, and his performances have put him firmly on Newcastle’s radar.

The Premier League side feels that the 26-year-old offers versatility, flair, and composure in attack, qualities that Eddie Howe believes could significantly strengthen their frontline.
Brahim, who is also wanted by Serie A clubs, is happy at Real Madrid and is reportedly in talks over a contract extension.
However, he is aware that his role under Xabi Alonso will be crucial in determining his future. If he is once again pushed to the fringes of the squad, the door could open for a potential exit.
Newcastle view him as an ideal fit for their European ambitions and are convinced that he could become a vital part of the project.
The club values his experience at top levels and his ability to play across multiple positions in the attacking line.
With an offer between €40 and €50 million prepared, Newcastle are only waiting for Isak’s sale to be finalised before moving decisively.
