This Newcastle United Saudi Arabia PIF obsessed journalist is at it again, how predictable.

Oliver Holt of the Daily Mail has spoken once more.

Of course, don’t expect anything complimentary to come from Ollie’s lips or typewriter when it concerns Newcastle United.

The loyal Stockport County supporter (please don’t laugh) reckons that the real United (NUFC) are no longer a major priority with the Saudi PIF.

Oliver Holt reckons the PIF are now firmly focussed on their other massive global sporting interests in Boxing, Golf and Motor Racing etc, with poor old little United going to become just a little pawn in their game.

Shock horror.

And here I was thinking that we were their ‘Numero Uno’, the ‘Big Cheese’, ‘Jewel in their Crown’.

Do journalists like Holt just live in one big bubble when it comes to taking potshots at Newcastle United and our loyal and success starved supporters?

When the Saudi Arabia PIF attained an 80% majority shareholding after our takeover in 2021, all that this ensured was that Newcastle United had became their flagship club in the Premier League.

Of course we all know how the takeover went down with Oliver Holt and his faux outraged contemporaries in the Press don’t we?

It was if their elitist World of cosying up to the Premier League Septic Six had collapsed.

Absolutely terrified that Saudi riches had fallen into the hands of unworthy Geordies in the North East, who may as well live in a foreign land.

The Press and Media fed the footballing public all kinds of propaganda bordering on out and out paranoia.

Oliver Holt is probably the biggest hypocrite in his profession. A journalist who works for a company (DMGT) that makes fortunes from their business interests in Saudi Arabia. Someone who said he saw nothing wrong with where Manchester City were getting their money from.

He has never batted an eyelid or spoken a word as the Saudis have piled millions of sponsorship money into Manchester United from 2008, year after year.

He was more than happy to go to Qatar and cover the 2022 World Cup.

His latest piece in the Mail is just another example of more lazy journalism aimed at demeaning Newcastle United as a football club and a city.

We are eternally grateful that the Saudi Arabia PIF led consortium rescued us from the spiteful clutches of Mike Ashley. They have helped transform our club on and off the pitch.

Supporters and fans (there is a slight differential between those words) are now happier and have been given a bit of hope for the future.

We are the last people that should take any notice of what lazy and snide journalists like Oliver Holt have to say about what is going on at Newcastle United.

We don’t deserve it. It’s time Holt changed his tune and stopped his vendetta.

Maybe start practicing what he has been preaching regarding morals and social ethics for well over the last three years now.
