The 5ft 9 winger was signed for £3m by Celtic in January 2024 from Rapid Vienna.

In all competitions, Nicolas Kuhn had 36 direct goal involvements last (2024/25) season for Celtic, scoring 21 and getting 15 assists.

Obviously a massive step up from the Scottish top tier to the English Premier League but Nicolas Kuhn also impressed in the Champions League with three goals and an assist last season, as well as his performances in domestic competitions.

In 1,672 minutes in the league for Celtic last season, the winger managed 18 direct goal involvements (scoring ten and eight assists), at an average of a direct goal involvement every 92 minutes on the pitch.

Over the border, The Scotsman report that ‘Celtic are facing a battle to hold onto to of their key performers.’

The newspaper states that Newcastle United regularly scouted Nicolas Kuhn last season and that he is valued at £20m+ by Celtic, which is a fair bit lower than many of the wingers/forwards that NUFC are linked with.

Nicolas Kuhn has played at various youth levels for Germany but still waiting for a senior call up, something which could figure in his thinking, as if he proved a success in England then every chance he could get that opportunity.

The 25 year old has been compared to Kingsley Coman with his pace and dribbling ability, plus his readiness to take on his opponent.
