Serie A side Atalanta are battling with the possibility of losing Ademola Lookman and Newcastle United’s interest has also emerged in Giorgio Scalvini.

Alfredo Pedulla has reported about the Italian, claiming that the defender is liked by multiple clubs in the market on a regular basis. Napoli have previously had him at the top of their shortlist and now, Newcastle United are keeping a close eye on him.

The Magpies appreciate Scalvini a lot but it will be very difficult for them to sign him this summer. The journalist reveals that Eddie Howe’s side will have to make a ‘mad move’ to land the Italian defender, who had faced injury worries last season.

Atalanta believe that Scalvini is unsellable this summer and it is quite unlikely that he departs. Chelsea have also been linked with him this week but they have not made any concrete offers for him so far.
