Newcastle United interested in Juventus’ Federico Gatti | OneFootball

Premier League side Newcastle United are interested in the possibility of signing Juventus defender Federico Gatti this summer.

La Gazzetta dello Sport have reported that while Newcastle haven’t made any offers, they have made multiple enquiries for the Italian. They are preparing to step up their move for the defender, who is currently playing at EURO 2024 for the Azzurri.

Gatti initially wasn’t expected to be on the list of players that could leave but if a decent offers come around and Cristiano Guintoli values the defender at about €25 million. If Newcastle offer more than €30 million, Juve’s resistance will break and they would be forced to the sell the former Frosinone man.

That would be a valuable addition to the budget and would lead to Juve moving for Riccardo Calafiori with renewed venom. Jakub Kiwior is also an option who is very much still concrete.
