Denzel Dumfries found the right balance of emotion and composure in yesterday’s Champions League clash between Inter Milan and Feyenoord.

The Dutchman received praise for his performance in the player ratings for the match, as TuttoMercatoWeb highlight.

Denzel Dumfries was not just in the Inter Milan starting eleven yesterday evening.

The 28-year-old also captained the Nerazzurri. This was the first time that he has done so since he joined the club in the summer of 2021.

It was inevitable that there would be a strong sense of emotion for Dumfries having the captain’s armband.

And the Dutchman did certainly play with the kind of emotion and passion that Inter needed from him.

But Denzel Dumfries also never lost his head.

It was a mature and composed display on both sides of the ball from Dumfries.

The Dutchman has been in nothing short of outstanding form over the last couple months.

And yesterday’s performance showed exactly why.

Dumfries did use his athleticism and energy to get up and down the pitch. But he also never overcommitted, and picked the right moments.

Dumfries was defensively solid, comfortably containing the Feyenoord left flank.
