The Italian giants Napoli have shown strong interest in Dortmund's Karim Adeyemi, initially making a verbal offer of approximately 40 million euros. As reported by L'Équipe, Napoli now prioritizes the signing of a winger once Khvicha Kvaratskhelia left for Paris Saint Germain for around 70 million euros earlier this month.
Karim's popularity in the transfer market is not new to BVB fans, as the German international has been linked to several clubs in the past few months. He attracts interest from many buyers, primarily from Italy and England, with Chelsea and Juventus already reportedly inclined to sign Adeyemi.
Despite Dortmund's delicate situation on and off the pitch, Karim's departure from Signal Iduna Park will not be a piece of cake for any potential interest parties. Considering Donyell Malen's recent exit to Aston Villa, BVB suffers with fewer bodies in the winger department, with Jamie Gittens, Karim Adeyemi, and the youngsters Julien Duranville and Cole Campbell as the only options.
The Black-and-Yellows have also demonstrated concrete interest in finding an alternative piece to Malen's departure, from which Marcus Rashford became the hottest name to be linked to BVB. Although a Karim sale seems unlikely at the moment, an agreement in the summer is not off the table for the German winger, especially if Dortmund fails to qualify for European competitions next season.
