Francesco Calzona and all the Napoli players have been blocked from speaking to the media after a 2-0 home defeat to Bologna.

It was a nightmare start at the Stadio Maradona, as within 12 minutes they were 2-0 down and dealing with deafening jeers from the home fans, thanks to cheap goals conceded to Dan Ndoye and Stefan Posch.

When the Partenopei had a chance to get back into the game with a penalty, the Matteo Politano effort was saved by Federico Ravaglia.

Now even scraping into the Conference League could be beyond Napoli, who a year ago were celebrating the Scudetto in the streets of the city.

Napoli ordered to snub media

According to DAZN, President Aurelio De Laurentiis in the stands ordered a press silence, so coach Calzona and the players will not be permitted to speak to the media today.

It seems they were thoroughly unimpressed with the performance and we could see the squad put into a punitive training retreat.
