Napoli are looking to make a splash in the transfer window as they look to placate manager Antonio Conte by signing Premier League players who have fallen by the wayside.

Following a pattern that fans of Chelsea and Spurs will be familiar with, the Italian kicked up a stink about the club’s transfer business and seemed headed for the exit door immediately after winning the Scudetto.

Conte openly complained about signings arriving in the last week of last year’s summer transfer window, while Khvicha Kvaratskhelia left in January and wasn’t adequately replaced.

The fiery figure was convinced to stay on following a meeting with club president Aurelio De Laurentiis, and one imagines that came with promises of big name players arriving ahead of next season.

It appears that Conte could be getting his wish as Napoli have already signed free agent Kevin De Bruyne and have been linked with a number of footballers who carry star power, but are in need of a fresh start.

A new wide attacker is evidently on the menu, with I Partenopei reportedly interested in Manchester City‘s Jack Grealish and Alejandro Garnacho of Manchester United.

Grealish seems destined to leave Eastlands this summer after being left out of the matchday squad for not only their final Premier League game against Fulham, but the entire FIFA Club World Cup, too.

The winger is thought to be available for around £40m, as is Garnacho, although the Argentina international would apparently prefer to stay in the Premier League.

Napoli could look to another United outcast in Jadon Sancho. Sky Italia claim they are “exploring a move” for the 25-year-old, although wages may be a stumbling block.

The England international has one year left on his United contract after Chelsea paid a £5m penalty to get out of their £25m obligation to buy him.

Lastly, Napoli are also reportedly “weighing up a move” for Liverpool forward Darwin Nunez. They are in the market for a striker and have “begun to explore the conditions” of a possible deal for the 25-year-old.

Nunez, who has three years left on his contract, joined Liverpool from Benfica for a €75m transfer fee plus €25m in add-ons in 2022. But after scoring 33 goals in his first two seasons at Anfield he struggled to make an impact upon Arne Slot’s arrival, scoring just seven goals in 2024/25.
