Napoli in advanced stages for Girona full-back Miguel Guiterez | OneFootball

Napoli have reached advanced talks in sealing the signing of Girona full-back Miguel Guiterez.

CalcioNapoli1926 reports that the Azzurri have reached an agreement for the La Liga outfits for a transfer fee of €18m. The Partenopei remain in talks with the entourage of the 24-year-old Spanish international in order to finalize the details of the contract as their remains a small distance in regards to bonuses included within the transfer.

Since joining Girona after departing his childhood club Real Madrid in 2022, Guiterez made a total of 98 appearances for the Spanish side, emerging as a vital asset within the back-line.

Given his strong technical ability and a great deal of pace, Napoli is keen on providing additional depth to the full-back position with Mathias Olivera possibly playing a central defender role next season.

Alfredo Pedulla has indicated that the transfer could close as early as Tuesday, given several friendlies occuring this weekend which will briefly slow down the negotiations.
