Serie A giants Napoli have no intention of selling Khvicha Kvaratskhelia this summer amidst keen interest from Barcelona.

La Gazzetta dello Sport have reported about the future of the Georgian, whose agent is in Naples to hold talks over a new deal with the Partenopei. Kvaratskhelia’s agent will make it clear to the club that he wants €5 million per season to have a chance of him staying and renewing his deal, which currently expires in 2027 but the player wants to be earning an amount that justifies his value to the team.

The winger’s agent will inform club CEO Aurelio de Laurentiis about interest from Barcelona but the Italian is keen to make sure that Kvaratskhelia doesn’t leave this summer. He is keen to make sure that Kvaratskhelia feels like he is the centre of the project, even though they seem unlikely to be able to meet the agent’s demands.

The likelihood is that Napoli will offer Kvaratskhelia a hefty release clause, something which also happened in Victor Osimhen’s case. As of now, only an indecent offer can force De Laurentiis into selling the prized asset.
