Napoli have completed several acquisitions in recent days, but they haven’t been able to persuade Bologna to sell Dan Ndoye despite multiple offers. Moreover, Nottingham Forest are going after the Swiss international as well, Fabrizio Romano and Matteo Moretto report (via SOSFanta).
The latest proposal from the Partenopei is a €39M package, split between a €9M fee for an initial loan, a €26M obligation clause to buy, and €5M add-ons. The Tricky Trees tendered roughly €30M not too long ago.
Both Napoli and Nottingham Forest have reached an agreement on personal terms with Ndoye. On the other hand, Bologna have opened talks to hand him a bumper contract to convince him to stay. He hasn’t pushed to leave as hard as Sam Beukema.
The Azzurri will insist, but also have some fallback options. They have shortlisted RB Leipzig’s Antonio Nusa, Federico Chiesa, and Mattia Zaccagni, Tuttomercatoweb informs. Antonio Conte likes the Lazio star, but it’ll be tough to convince his team, which can’t operate on the market due to some financial limitations. They examined Ademola Lookman earlier on, but they seem him in a different role, Alfredo Pedullà reports. Jack Grealish is a very ambitious target due to his salary. Manchester City would have to contribute to it, Corriere dello Sport informs.
He has unique skills since he put it all together in the final third last season, so their interest is well-motivated. We’ll see how much they’ll be comfortable spending. If they wanted to, they could get Chiesa in two minutes, but they already have two uber offensive wingers and should add something different to the mix. Instead, Lookman is a full-fledged second striker at this point.
