Reports in Italy on Saturday morning claim that Napoli are now close to securing a deal for Manchester City and Belgium star Kevin De Bruyne following the team’s Scudetto victory on Friday night.
Napoli are the new champions of Italy after claiming the club’s fourth ever Serie A title and their second in three years with a 2-0 victory over Cagliari on Friday night. Inter pushed them until the very end, but finished one point short in second place despite a 2-0 win away against Como, also on Friday evening.

According to recent reports, De Bruyne has given his personal approval over a move to Napoli once his contract with Manchester City expires at the end of June.
The 33-year-old will be available on a free transfer after a 10-year stay at the Etihad Stadium, which has brought six Premier League titles and one Champions League trophy among various other accolades.
According to reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport on Saturday claim that has put an offer on the table for the Premier League star, and that the club are now ready to receive their ‘first gift’ after the Scudetto victory on Friday night.

Napoli have reportedly offered a two-year deal with substantial wages, but not quite as much as the €12m net he reportedly receives each year on his current Man City contract.
It is understood that De Bruyne also has interest from MLS, specifically from Chicago Fire. La Gazzetta dello Sport claims that the US-outfit are prepared to offer more than Napoli on a financial level, but they are unable to offer the experience of playing in the Champions League.
De Bruyne has reportedly consulted with compatriots Romelu Lukaku and Dries Mertens, both of whom have represented Napoli, to discuss the reality of the move.
Napoli sporting director Giovanni Manna has already been to Manchester to discuss the project, while De Bruyne’s wife has already been to the city of Naples to look at potential homes.
