West Ham today take on Aston Villa in what is expected to be a tough encounter in the midlands.

Villa are a side who are fast establishing themselves who mix it at the top end of the Premier League, whilst juggling their Champions League commitments well – although its hoped a midweek loss to Monaco will dent their confidence somewhat.

West Ham on the other hand have had a full week on the training pitch with new Head Coach Graham Potter & his team, so there is an expectation of a positive display as we fight to turn around a very disappointing season so far.

Potter will be without Mavropanos this afternoon due to suspension, while Michail Antonio and Niclas Fullkrug remain long term absentees.

Jean-Clair Todibo is also missing however the boss hinted he is working towards a return to action.

In what could be a monumental boost for our Hammers, both Jarrod Bowen and Crysencio Summerville are both set to have fitness tests ahead of the game.

Amadou Onana, Ross Barkley and Pau Torres are missing for the hosts, however John McGinn is in line for a return for Unai Emery.
