AS Monaco’s transfer window has been quieter than expected. The Principality club got most of their business done early, signing Paul Pogba, Eric Dier, and Ansu Fati before the start of pre-season training, much to the delight of manager Adi Hütter.
However, there have been very few outgoings. Saïmon Bouabré, an academy product who was yet to cement his place in the first team, has joined Neom SC, whilst Radoslaw Majecki has left on loan. Players such as Maghnes Akliouche, Vanderson, Wilfried Singo, and Caio Henrique have been strongly linked with departures, however, all still remain at the club, with just one day to go until the start of the Ligue 1 season.
Hütter, speaking ahead of Saturday’s game against Le Havre AC, expressed a desire for the squad to be trimmed. “We will find solutions for some players,” said the Monaco manager in a press conference, attended by Get French Football News. “The squad is too big. We will see in two, two-and-a-half weeks. We have 27/28 payers. It is too much,” he added.
