Monaco confirm impending Soungoutou Magassa sale | OneFootball

Soungoutou Magassa (21), absent from AS Monaco training on Friday, is on the verge of completing a move away from the club, according to CEO Thiago Scuro.

Magassa has been linked with a move away from Monaco for several weeks. It is West Ham United who met Monaco’s valuation of the France youth international. The Hammers will pay €17m plus an extra €3m in add-ons.

The player is already in London and so was naturally absent from Monaco’s training session in La Turbie, attended by Get French Football News, on Friday. Speaking in a press conference soon after, Scuro confirmed that the absence was due to an impending transfer. Whilst Monaco’s CEO did not name West Ham, it is indeed his destination.

The midfielder is set to sign a four-year deal, with the option for a further two years. The officialisation of the permanent transfer is now imminent, GFFN understands.
