Tijjani Reijnders has been heavily praised so far this season, and there are no signs of this changing any time soon as the Dutchman continues to impress.
Last season Reijnders was, by no means, bad, however, he certainly was not at the level which he has been consistently this season. This is probably due to the trust that Paulo Fonseca has in the midfielder, partnered with a solidified role, and Milan are winning as a result.
As Milan News recalls, the Dutchman was superb once again against Sassuolo, and ‘what a player Tijjani Reijnders is’ is being repeated by the Rossoneri on a growingly consistent basis.
The midfielder was not ‘100 percent’ last season, and to call him bad would be a disservice, because he has always shown his qualities, just to a varying degree. This season, though, he has realised his potential, and Reijnders 2.0 leaves the Diavolo regularly in awe.
One of his biggest flaws of last season was his lack of presence in attacking areas, but this has been solved this season, and the numbers support this: seven goals in his last eight games. Reijnders is without a doubt a ‘lighthouse’ for the squad, and an ‘indispensable pawn’ in Fonseca’s system.
Therefore, the news about his imminent renewal only adds more joy to the Rossoneri, more than Reijnders already brings.
