Milan Futuro were forced to settle for a share of the spoils against Arezzo as they twice surrendered leads to draw 2-2 on Sunday afternoon.
Things started brilliantly for the Futuro as Samuele Longo got a goal just eight minutes in. Sandri’s cross was missed by Righetti and the veteran striker’s shot flew in under the crossbar.
Arezzo drew level in rather strange circumstances when a cross from the left side was allowed to go through by Bartesaghi, giving Coccia a rather easy header from close range.
A few minutes before the break Milan retook the lead and it was a beautiful goal by Alex Jimenez. A Theo Hernandez-esque run saw the Spaniard start in his own half, run the ball around 50 yards and finish from the edge of the box off the post.
Just as it looked like Daniele Bonera’s side would get a valuable three points, Arezzo levelled in the 88th minute. A quickly-taken corner was glanced in by Gucci, though Lorenzo Torriani perhaps should have done better in goal.
Despite the late sucker punch it was still a positive game for the Rossoneri, considering the absences and the fact Arezzo are much higher in the table. It is another point on the board after the draw against Pontedera last time out.
