Milan derby set to decide Paulo Fonseca’s fate | OneFootball

Serie A giants Milan could be set to sack manager Paulo Fonseca, if the club do not get a favourable result in the incoming Milan derby.

Fonseca’s future has been called into question today and it is in doubt. Luca Bianchin has now reported that decisive days are approaching for the Portuguese, whose future is certainly under threat.

The Liverpool loss is seen as a major blow by the club but the derby against Inter will be monumental. While a loss will not mean a defeat, any signs of live will help Fonseca stay in the role for the next game against Lecce.

Maurizio Sarri is the leading candidate for the role and he would be interested in the move. Max Allegri and Igor Tudor are the other candidates but it remains to be seen if they spark any interest at the club. They’re on the shortlist because they are pretty available right now.

These are vital days in the situation and a lot can change soon.
