Roma loanee Tammy Abraham cannot catch a break at the start of his loan stint at Milan after suffering another bizarre injury on Saturday. According to Calciomercato, the out-of-form English center-forward could face a lengthy spell on the sidelines for a dislocated shoulder.

Milan defeated Udinese 1-0 at Stadio San Siro, but Abraham cannot forget yesterday’s game soon enough.

After reportedly disobeying Paulo Fonseca’s orders and squandering a penalty against Fiorentina on the stroke of the international break, Abraham started yesterday’s home clash against Udinese on the bench. With Milan 1-0 up but a man down, Fonseca subbed the 27-year-old on late in the second half.

Despite spending only a few minutes on the pitch, Abraham could’ve sealed the deal for Milan, yet his wasteful finishing got the better of him again. Completely unmarked inside Udinese’s six-yard box, the ex-Chelsea striker pounced on a fortunate rebound, only to fluff his lines and allow Maduka Okoye to thwart his sloppy attempt.

As if that wasn’t embarrassing enough, Abraham injured himself in the process. The player’s painful screams immediately after the incident signaled Milan manager Paulo Fonseca to revisit his options on the bench. Ruben Loftus-Cheek took Abraham’s place after only five minutes on the pitch.

While an X-ray scan showed no shoulder fracture, Milan will likely take on Club Brugge without Abraham on Tuesday. A trauma to his right shoulder will require treatment over the next seven days, meaning the Rossoneri will seek their first UEFA Champions League triumph this season with Alvaro Morata as the only senior center-forward option.
