Milan boss Paulo Fonseca is very likely to be face the sack, if the Rossoneri lose to Inter in the Milan derby in the Serie A later today.
There has been talk of the fact that Fonseca’s future at Milan is in doubt and the Milan derby was going to decide everything, as his relationship with Senior Advisor Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been at the rock bottom in recent weeks.
Gianluca di Marzio recently spoke to Sky Italia, as relayed by MilanNews, and he has revealed that the sacking will come only in the case of a heavy defeat.
He said, revealing that there are no real leading candidates to replace him: “In the event of a heavy and ruinous defeat he risks the sack. There are no names ahead of the key contenders. There is a list because a big club must be ready for the eventuality.”
Multiple names have been linked with the role, with Max Allegri and Maurizio Sarri in the fray. Thomas Tuchel and Igor Tudor are also options but as Di Marzio has suggested, no leading candidate is currently in the picture.
