Mercato: Jouini in Iraq, Mathlouthi soon at CSS?

The Iraqi club Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya has officially announced this Wednesday the signing of Tunisian striker Haythem Jouini, who arrived as a free agent.The deal was finalized after fierce competition among several interested Iraqi clubs, but it was Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya who managed to persuade the player, thanks to their strong position in the league standings last season.A former Espérance Sportive de Tunis player, Jouini, 32, played 23 matches last season with the Emirati club Dibba Al-Hisn, scoring 7 goals and providing 4 assists.

On another front in the summer transfer market, Tunisian media sources report that defender Hamza Mathlouthi is on the verge of returning to Club Sportif Sfaxien, his formative club, after ending his stint with Zamalek SC (Egypt).Currently undergoing physical rehabilitation in Dubai, Mathlouthi is expected to rejoin the Sfaxien squad within two weeks to prepare for the start of the new season.
