Weston McKennie claims Juventus players are ‘happy’ with new coach Igor Tudor, above all because he ‘knows full well what this club is like’ after his experience in Turin.
It is the debut under new coach Tudor, who was chosen after Thiago Motta was given the sack, just eight months into his tenure.
“It is a difficult match, but we trained with the new coach, there is fresh energy, he just wants to win this game. The last two performances were not fitting of Juventus or this team. We play for the team, for the fans, and also for the new coach,” McKennie told DAZN.

The USMNT midfielder, who is played in a wide role this evening in the new 3-4-2-1 formation, insists it is more than just fresh energy that Tudor brings to this troubled side.
“Tudor brought experience too, because he knows full well what Juventus is like as a club, because he played here and was also assistant manager under Pirlo. He knows everything about this club,” added McKennie.
“I am happy, the team is happy, and we are ready.”
Juventus make big changes from the Thiago Motta era, starting with a three-man defence, but also picking Dusan Vlahovic upfront rather than Randal Kolo Muani.
Renato Veiga is preferred to Pierre Kalulu in the back three, with Kenan Yildiz and Teun Koopmeiners supporting the centre-forward.
