Bryan Mbeumo struck twice as Brentford claimed a 4-2 victory over Brighton at the Gtech Community Stadium.
He broke the deadlock in the ninth minute, but Danny Welbeck responded for the Seagulls with an equaliser just before the break.
Mbeumo added his second shortly after the restart — his 18th Premier League goal of the season — and later set up Yoane Wissa for Brentford’s third in the 58th minute.
Despite being reduced to 10 men after Joao Pedro was shown a red card, Fabian Hürzeler's side pulled one back through Kaoru Mitoma in the 81st minute. However, Brentford skipper Christian Norgaard sealed the win with a header five minutes into stoppage time.
The defeat dealt a blow to Brighton’s ambitions of securing European qualification, leaving them 10th in the standings with 48 points — just two ahead of 11th-placed Brentford.
