Sky Germany (via @iMiaSanMia) reports that Max Eberl’s relationship with the Bayern Munich supervisory board is becoming increasingly strained due to certain decisions.

The former Borussia Mönchengladbach and RB Leipzig director has been praised for some of his work since joining last season, such as the signing of Michael Olise in the summer, as well as how he works with sporting director Christoph Freund.

However, the recent contract extension at Bayern (Jamal Musiala, Alphonso Davies, Manuel Neuer and Joshua Kimmich) is seen as ‘too expensive’ and ‘took too long’ to be completed. While Eberl has also had poor communication with the academy and there has been a lack of development there.

So, Bayern are considering whether to install an individual above Eberl and Freund while on top of this, Bayern want to prepare for the future of Eberl if he wishes to leave by his own accord eventually, something he has done at each of his previous clubs.

Some names that Bayern are monitoring and considering are Markus Krösche and Ralf Rangnick as well as Mario Gomez, who is currently technical director at Red Bull. The former striker currently resides in Munich and would follow the same path as Eberl and Freund, from Red Bull to Bayern.
