“Matches his ambition” – Player’s agent seems to aim parting shot as he leaves Chelsea

Yesterday saw the summer transfer window close in England and many other European leagues and it had the usual drama.

The deadline day is always going to bring a lot of entertainment, joy, frustration, and everything in between. And for a lot of people connected to Chelsea, yesterday saw all of those emotions for many. Some moves collapsed at the final stages, others went through.

EXCLUSIVE! Chelsea tried to sign Wolves striker on deadline day!!

Ben Chilwell for example, finally got his permanent move away from the club, joining BlueCo club Strasbourg. So he’s left Chelsea, but he’s not left Chelsea’s owners yet! Even still, it’s nice for him that he will hopefully finally be part of something where he will get to play football again.

Yet winger Tyrique George now has to stay at Chelsea as his late move to Fulham collapsed at the final moments last night. He will obviously be very disappointed by this and I cannot see him playing much at Chelsea after they signed two more new wingers this summer and have Estevao Willian in as well now.

One player who did get his move away though was striker Nicolas Jackson after what was a hugely dramatic 48 hours for him and everyone around him; for Chelsea and Chelsea fans too. It was a messy situation for sure. But he’s finally now joined Bayern Munich on a loan deal.

Jackson’s agent has dig

Nicolas Jackson holds up a Bayern shirt ahead of his move.

This looks like a bit of a dig at Chelsea to me…

Jackson’s agent, Ali Barat, said this about Jackson’s move as cited on X:

“Nicolas needed a platform that matches his ambition. At Bayern, he finds a structure of excellence, a football identity tailored to his strengths, and a project that will allow him to write the next chapter of his legacy.”
