Celtic FC Women made a successful return to league action in 2024, running out 9-0 winners over Montrose on Sunday afternoon.

Following their impressive victory over Ayr United, which saw the Ghirls advance to the 4th round of the Scottish Cup, it was back to SWPL duties for David Haley and his squad.

And it proved to be another strong attacking performance from the Hoops, with seven different scorers getting their name on the scoresheet at the Excelsior Stadium.

There was also another positive note for the Celts to end the week off with, as Lucy Ashworth-Clifford made her return from long-term injury, coming off the bench against the Links Park side.
