Massimiliano Canzi and Juventus Women are continuing together for two more years, with the Club triggering an option to extend the coach’s contract until 30 June, 2027. His contract was previously set to run until 30 June, 2026.
Following the Bianconere’s triumphs in Serie A and the Italian Cup in Canzi’s first season in the job, the option was activated.
“We’ve always envisioned a minimum three-year journey with the coach,” said Women’s Football Director Stefano Braghin. “Triggering the extension clause reflects our shared commitment to a long-term technical project - one that allows us to work together with calm and a clear sense of purpose.
“While this season’s results in Italy and Europe played a role, they weren’t the decisive factor. What really mattered was the coach’s outstanding daily work on the pitch and the seamless connection he established with the entire club from day one.”
The extension comes after a superb season for our Bianconere, which saw them dominate Italian women’s football and claim the sixth Scudetto in their eight-year history.
“I tiptoed into the building here, as is right at a club as prestigious as Juventus,” Canzi said on his arrival, back on 9 July, 2024. “I can’t wait to get to work on the pitch, and to come in here and do the press conferences. I’ve been counting the days until the first training session.
“I think being at Juventus is a point of arrival in any coach’s career, but at the same time I see this as a starting point.”
And that, he did. With two trophies won in his first season, we’re sure those will be used as a platform to build upon and that more success is coming for our Women’s First Team.
