Olympique de Marseille, second in Ligue 1 and seven points behind leaders Paris Saint-Germain, are looking to strengthen their squad in January.
The club’s defence is currently seen as the biggest weakness and an interest in Juventus’ Danilo (33) and Freiburg’s Kiliann Sildillia (22) was recently evoked by L’ Équipe.
L’Équipe are also now reporting that a move for Sacha Boey (24) is now being considered. Since arriving at the Bundesliga side, the Frenchman has been heavily disrupted by injuries, although he recently returned from a meniscus injury that had kept him sidelined for two months.
With Michael Murillo being put on the market by OM, a move for Boey could come in the form of a loan move. Bayern Munich are looking to retain the right-back long-term, but a short-term stint away from the Allianz Arena could be seen as beneficial for all parties.
Marseille are yet to make concrete steps but an enquiry has been made, although should contact be made with Bayern Munich, Medhi Benatia’s strong relationship with the German club, following his stint there as a player, could facilitate a deal.
