Rashford is expected to leave Man United during the summer transfer window
Marcus Rashford has been handed a possible boost as he seeks a Manchester United exit this summer.
Rashford hasn’t played for Man Utd since the 2-1 win over Viktoria Plzen in the Europa League group phase back in December.
An issue over ‘standards’ saw the 27-year-old subsequently fall out of favour under Ruben Amorim last season and he ended up seeing out the campaign on loan at Aston Villa.
However, despite an impressive spell for Unai Emery’s side, Villa decided against activating the £40million option to turn the loan deal into a permanent transfer.
As a result, Rashford has since returned to Man United. Though he is training away from the first-team whilst using the medical and rehab facilities.
A clear sign that the England international has no future at Old Trafford came this week when he was been stripped of the No10 which has been given to summer signing Matheus Cunha.
Now, the good news for Rashford is that he has been courting interest from some top European clubs - including Bayern Munich.
In addition, there is said to be interest from Barcelona - his preferred destination - and Sky in Germany are now claiming he is the LaLiga champions’ first-choice left-wing target.
The report states that Barca are ‘prepared to go all-in’ to sign Rashford after seeing Liverpool have reject heir advances for Luis Diaz, as well as Nico Williams extending his contract with Athletic Club.
Whether Barcelona are still looking for a loan move remains to be seen as United would prefer to sell Rashford permanently for a fee of around £40m.
