Manchester United face Lyon in France in the first leg of their Europa League quarter-final tonight.
Ruben Amorim’s side remain unbeaten in Europe this season, despite a difficult domestic campaign. The Red Devils are 13th in the Premier League table and the Europa League has become the focus for the run-in.
Success in the competition would not only bring silverware, but a place in next season’s Champions League and the financial rewards associated.
United will face a Lyon side who head into the tie in good form. Paulo Fonseca’s side have won four of their last five games in Ligue 1 to climb to fifth in the table.
Luke Shaw returned to the matchday squad for Sunday’s forgettable goalless draw with Manchester City at Old Trafford. The left-back has made just three appearances this season and is yet to feature this calendar year. Kobbie Mainoo has also travelled with the squad after two months out with a muscular issue.
Matthijs de Ligt will be assessed ahead of kick-off, while Lisandro Martinez, Amad Diallo, Ayden Heaven and Jonny Evans all remain unavailable.
Manchester United predicted XI: Onana; Dalot, Mazraoui, Maguire, Yoro, Dorgu; Ugarte, Casemiro; Fernandes, Zirkzee, Garnacho.
