Manchester United are keen on signing Rodrygo from Real Madrid this summer, as per reports.

Kylian Mbappe has taken little time to take the reins of Los Blancos’ attack in the Spanish capital. With 33 goals and four assists in all competitions this season, the 26-year-old has underlined just why Real waited several years to secure his services.

However, Mbappe’s influence on the pitch has taken the spotlight and regular minutes away from Rodrygo, who played a key role in the Spanish giants’ last two Champions League triumphs.

Recently, The Peoples Person relayed a report claiming the 24-year-old is prepared to pack his bags and seek a new challenge. Further, it was suggested that Real would be open to parting ways with the Brazilian for around £85 million.

Now, Fichajes claim that United are set to launch a strong push for his signature.

The Spanish outlet suggest that the Premier League giants are willing to make an €80m (£68.2m) offer for the right-winger, who has drawn comparisons to Neymar.

It remains to be seen if the La Liga heavyweights would be willing to lower their asking price.

Known for his close control and quick feet, Rodrygo is highly admired at United and it is understood that the Red Devils want him to spearhead their attack.

Despite limited starts under Carlo Ancelotti, the Brazil international has notched 13 goals and 10 assists this season.

With both Marcus Rashford and Antony expected to depart Old Trafford permanently, United do need a star winger to add a reliable threat to their toothless frontline.

As seen against Athletic Club in the Europa League, United still heavily rely on Bruno Fernandes to pull a rabbit out of the hat.

It is further claimed that Rodrygo initially wanted to continue at Santiago Bernabeu but recent developments could convince him to move to the Premier League.
